Our Services

  • Small Animal

Here in our modern premises, approved by the Veterinary Council of Ireland, we offer a high standard of care for your companion animals.
We have a wide range of in-house facilities including Haematology & Biochemistry Blood Analysis, Microscopy, Xray & Ultrasound and a fully equipped operating theatre, using human standard gaseous anaesthetic products.

  • Farm Animal

We attend a large number of farms in the area, treating cattle & sheep.
As well as treating farm animals when they become ill, we work closely with farmers in the area of preventative herd health, using blood testing in conjunction with soil & feed testing to ensure all animals are living in optimum conditions for maximum returns. We do extensive TB testing in conjunction with the Dept of Agriculture.

  • Equine

Denis has a keen interest in horses and provides expert care to all aspects of the equine industry, from the family pony up to valuable competition horses and stud farms.

  • Routine Health Care

To ensure your pet remains healthy, we recommend regular health checks, this ensures early diagnosis and treatment of any potential problems.

Our staff are available to offer sound advice on all aspects of pet health care and a comprehensive range of pet health care products. We stock a broad range of good quality pet foods including specific prescription diets for a variety of conditions. We also stock a large range of pet accessories.

  • Vaccinations

We recommend regular vaccinations, to ensure your pet is protected against potentially fatal diseases. When you bring your pet in for their annual vaccinations, our vets will give them a thorough health check.

  • Micro Chipping (Identichipping)

All pets should be microchipped and registered on a central database, this increases their chance of being returned to you if they should stray or get lost.

  • Neutering

For both health and social reasons, early neutering for both male and female pets is advisable.

  • Dental Care

As with humans, your pet can suffer from dental problems. Early detection during routine checkups can prevent many problems that poor dental hygiene can cause.

  • Parasite Control

Parasites can be transferred from infected animals to humans so it is important to ensure your pet is treated for worms regularly. Our vets will advise you on a suitable programme.
